Frequently Asked Questions:
What the heck is this? We are a Femtobrewery - or probably more like a Zeptobrewery, if that even matters to anyone. Yeah, those are real made-up terms. Thank you, North Williston Brewing Company!
Do you make real beer? Apparently, people have different definitions of the term "real beer." If by that, you mean something mass-produced by some huge corporation that gets loaded up on adjuncts and fillers (we don't think those are done in a beneficial way), which tends to sit around forever before you get to enjoy it: no. If you mean something brewed fresh and in small batches, by people you can actually meet: yes. Please keep in mind that all those "newfangled" dark and/or bitter beers (Stouts, Porters, IPAs, and many others) you keep seeing and/or hearing about: those have been around for a couple hundred years or so, and do qualify as "real beer." Don't like them? Not to worry, we'll try to brew a diverse array of beers, so you can help yourself to whatever you like!
Do we really need any more hipsters making fancy beers? If and when you ever meet us, you will likely discover that we don't really qualify as hipsters. On top of that, you may just find a brew or three of ours to your liking. We're beer drinkers, too.
Fine. Do we really need any more fancy beers? We don't think they will all be "fancy," from our perspective. Everything we've made (so far) has been pretty straight-forward. Keep in mind that Stouts, Porters, and IPAs don't qualify as "fancy" to us (see above). Granted, you will see some from us that are just plain out there, from time to time. However, if/when we do this, we'll probably mark them as such up front.
Ok, well what do you make? Keep your eyes on our page of brews. We'll post what's currently available. Plan on at least 1 beer and 1 cider for the short term, but we're sure we won't be able to limit ourselves to just that...
WHAT?!? Hard Cider?!? Doesn't that belong with wine coolers and other trendy drinks?
As far as we can tell, the history of hard cider can be traced back over 2,000 years to the Romans in Britain. Don't ask us to try to prove that. That aside, Keith started drinking them roughly 20 years ago, so that hardly qualifies as "trendy" to us. We find hard ciders to be a worthy, if somewhat different kind of brew. We also wanted to have something to offer the non-beer drinking companions of anyone who might be interested in our beers. Besides, the methods we use to brew the two are really close. Fear not! No beer was harmed in the making of Mythical Brewing Hard Ciders.
Can I visit your brewery? Currently, no. We do not (yet) have a facility that is open to the public. While CT does not have the best reputation for supporting businesses and there are clearly many hoops to be jumped through, changes in state legislation over the past 2-3 years have made us a bit hopeful. For the time being, we'll enjoy our status as an underground sensation.
How do I get my hands on your beer? Ah, well....for now, try to find us at an event. For even better results, it will probably help if you follow us on twitter and Facebook.
How can I get ahold of you? Well, see above for Twitter and Facebook. That aside, you can try here as well - it just might work.
Are your beers any good? Where can I read a review? For starters, we're on Untappd!
